My summer vacation
was spent driving around in my mom’s prius with my parents and sister Angie. It
was really fun and the drives didn’t seem too bad either even though there were
some long ones. We made our way up to Canada heading towards Banff National
Park stopping at a few towns in Canada along the way. I think the best way to
describe this trip is through pictures so here you go…
Day one, still in Minnesota
We made it past the border!
A small town in Canada called Moosejaw where we stopped for dinner.
We stayed at a holiday inn express in Swift Current, Canada. They gave us vouchers to go gamble at the casino in the connected parking lot. This is the Canadian money that I won!
Walking to a rodeo
A rodeo in Swift Current, Canada
Picnic before the parade.
The best float in the Swift Current parade!
One of the cool statues in Calgary that we drove around and found one night.
We made it!
Lake Louise
Lake Moraine, it was gorgeous there!
The family at Lake Moraine
The first of many breweries we went to on our road trip... that may have had a lot of Julie influence but I know that they loved going to them!
Downtown Banff on Canada Day!
The best float in the Canada Day Parade... It was for the local hostel. My mom really liked the dude sitting on the bunk bed in the back of the float, Haha.
A really good orchestra symphony that played in the park while we ate our cows ice cream!
We took a Gondola Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountian in the Canadian Rockies and saw Sanson's Peak Meteorological Station!
At the top of the mountain overlooking the city of Banff
We took a hike up to the top of Tunnel Mountain!
The golf course in Banff
We made it!
Driving through a Bison Range in Waterton National Park
Prince of Whales Hotel in Waterton National Park
Red Rock Canyon
There was more to this trip, summer road trip - Part 2 soon to come!
